Since its founding in 1950, Nichicon has constantly been involved in the development, production and sales of capacitors and circuit products that are essential for many types of electric and electronic products. Today, our customers are becoming increasingly advanced and diversified. With our “Top Notch Management,” program which expects first-class performance in every aspect of our business, including quality, cost, delivery, service and technology. We are maximizing our three core product lines (Aluminum electrolytic capacitors, Film capacitors, and Circuit products) in four market segments that are experiencing particularly striking growth: “Energy, Ecology & Medical equipment,” “Automotive & Railway-car related appliances,” “Home appliances & Industrial inverters” and “Information & Communications equipment.”
The Nichicon Energy Control System Technology project (now: NECST Business Headquarters)was launched in 2010 to develop and sell unique new products to enhance our business. These products include household energy storage systems, vehicle to home (V2H) systems, EV quick chargers and public and industrial power storage systems.
Going forward, we aim to make the switch from being a manufacturing business to being a creation business by shifting our perspective from manufacturing to Koto-Zukuri (the creation of customer expectations), satisfying and impressing our customers by proposing products that deliver value exceeding their expectations.
